64 Büro H190 in Zürich Built

The circular geometry and the massive structures of the office building on Hohlstrasse, which was constructed using heavy prefabrication, pose a challenge for the performance and atmosphere of the densely used open-plan office with twelve desks. The specially developed interior fittings make no attempt to conceal this fact, but instead draw strength from their unmediated geometric superimposition. From the textile of the stage curtains to the fragile balustrade furniture made of chipboard and the heavy-duty shelving made of grating, all elements of the room follow the same design principles. Individual custom-made components increase the performance of the standard products used. Repetitions, joints and grids playfully counter the brutalist architecture.
